Editing a Page
Note: you can only edit a page you created originally, unless you have "Editor" or "Admin" status. If you are not authorized to edit a page, you will not see the Edit tab for the page after you have logged in. Please email craw.webmaster@cra.org if you need to edit a page that you don't have access to.
- Login first here
- Navigate to the page and then click the "Edit" tab at the top (visible to the owner only)
- Make edits
- Revision information: click "Create new revision" and supply a log message.
Creating a new Page or a Webform
- Click on "Page" or "Webform" (or click "Create Content" in the left sidebar on Admin Page)
- Title: What's typed in here will appear in <title> as well as at the top of the page.
- Menu settings: Needed for breadcrumbs and sitemap.
- Menu link title: usually the same as "Title" (can shorten if desired)
- Parent item: choose the parent page for sitemap & breadcrumbs
- Body: Type in or copy-paste content here. Note that line breaks in here will be translated to <p> and <br>. Email addresses and URLs will be URL-ified. HTML tags are fine as long as Input format is "Full HTML". For images, PDFs, PPTs, and similar, see File attachments below under Optional. Suggestion: Add a final <p> at the end of the page to make a cleaner footer.
- Input format: This affects how the Body is displayed. "Full HTML" is the default.
- URL path settings: Page name for pretty URLs - i.e., "about". If you leave this blank, you'll get a Drupal URL for your page such as "/node/54"
- Optional:
1) Upload an image or PDF or etc.: use "File attachments". Upload the file and then you can either leave it as an attachment ("list") or create an href with the URL provided.
2) Create a page but not have it go live yet: uncheck "Published" in Publishing options.
